Job Description

As an Airport Security Officer: Patrol Response in Hilo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic airport location supporting government operations. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to travelers, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 1+ years of Security Experience
• 18+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

 

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity in designated areas, documenting security-related events, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
• Support public-facing operations by giving directions, answering questions, and assisting with orderly movement of people while following post instructions and government location protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
