Digital Client Experience & Platforms – Assistant Vice President, Product Owner

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Product Owner.

Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of ten sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow, Digital Trading & Investing, Generative AI UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution, WM

Platforms Risk and the Chief Operating Office.

The Digital Client Experience & Platforms Team is responsible for all aspects of the digital client experience with focus on self-directed bank, brokerage, and advised accounts. The team consists of Mobile, Retail Web and Bank Platforms, Portfolio Analytics, Digital Advice & Transactions, and Account Opening teams.

The Core Financials & Portfolio Analytics team supports and builds the key financials apps for Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE clients. The team is focused on a multi-year development plan to build a best-in-class client platform with rich feature sets that can satisfy a wide variety of client needs. The Product Owner will be a vital part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering the cutting edge digital client-facing experience across all digital platforms, including Morgan Stanley Online/Mobile, Shareworks and E*TRADE.

What you’ll do in the role:

The Portfolio Analytics team is seeking a Product Owner who will drive the online and mobile Portfolio Analytics experiences on the unified digital platform. This PO will lead the squad to build and roll out our new income and performance reporting tools for Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE clients, and help to define our 3-year road map, including opportunities to leverage AI across both product functionality and delivery processes.

The Product Owner will:

• Contribute to all aspects of these initiatives, from meetings with stakeholders, to writing requirements, to delivering the technology products

• Collaborate closely with technology, business, and UX partners

• Engage in end-user research, data analysis, requirements writing, and design of new products

• Assist with testing strategies, end user testing, and test plan execution

• Present to senior management and key stakeholders

• Present project updates and analyses to executive management and stakeholder

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience as a digital product owner, business analyst, or equivalent, with agile/scrum delivery experience

• Strong understanding of UX principles and web/mobile technologies

• Exposure to securities, portfolios, and markets

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across business, design, and technology teams

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive priorities and outcomes

• Analytical, data-driven, and quick to learn, with experience using analytics to inform product decisions
