Your Impact
Design, implement, deliver, and maintain mobile application features and product improvements end to end with minimal supervision.
Build high-quality, reliable, and scalable mobile experiences used by millions of customers.
Own and evolve significant parts of the mobile application architecture, shared mobile components, SDK integrations, and reusable libraries.
Drive technical decisions for owned iOS or Android modules and platform components, and influence mobile architecture and engineering practices beyond your immediate feature scope.
Improve application performance, startup time, responsiveness, battery usage, reliability, accessibility, and observability.
Lead by example in code quality, automated testing, maintainability, and operational excellence.
Debug complex mobile issues, including crashes, memory leaks, performance regressions, networking problems, and production incidents.
Help lead the operational side of our mobile applications, including release readiness, monitoring, and incident resolution.
Mentor junior and mid-level mobile engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, UX designers, QA, SRE/DevOps, and fellow mobile engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
Help improve mobile release quality through monitoring, telemetry, crash analytics, feature flags, and post-release analysis.
Leverage AI technologies to accelerate development, improve code quality, and support faster delivery of customer-facing features.
Interview candidates and help calibrate the technical bar as the team grows
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated 5+ years of professional experience in iOS or Android application development.
Experience in building, maintaining and shipping mobile applications in production environments.
Strong knowledge of iOS or Android development tools and frameworks, such as Swift/Xcode or Kotlin/Java/Android Studio/Gradle.
Strong knowledge of software development and architecture concepts and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
Ability to apply creative skills to complex problems.
Flexibility to thrive in diverse team environments and communicate clearly and precisely.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and quality results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience in Swift and/or Kotlin. Experience with Java, Objective-C, or C++ is a plus.
Experience with modern mobile technologies and frameworks, such as SwiftUI, UIKit, Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, or similar platform-native frameworks.
Experience with application architecture concepts such as MVVM, modularization, or similar design patterns, applied at application or module scale.
Experience working with REST APIs, asynchronous programming, networking, data persistence, and mobile application lifecycle management.
Experience with mobile testing frameworks and practices, including unit testing, UI testing, integration testing, XCTest, Espresso, JUnit, Mockito, or similar tools.
Proven ability to debug and resolve complex production issues using tools such as Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler, Logcat, Firebase Crashlytics, Datadog, Splunk, or similar observability platforms.
Experience making architectural trade-offs around reliability, performance, security, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated builds, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and release management.
Experience with app performance optimization, memory management, offline support, caching, push notifications, and secure mobile development practices.
Familiarity with publishing and maintaining applications through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or enterprise distribution channels.
Experience mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards through code reviews, technical design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Experience collaborating closely with UX and design teams to deliver polished, accessible, and user-friendly mobile experiences.
Practical experience in AI assisted development with clear ownership of validated and production ready code.
Experience with Microsoft InTune or MDM is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning, high-quality results, and excellent user experiences.

The starting salary range posted for this position is €40,900.00 to €57,900.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
For non-sales roles, employees may also be eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
- .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
- 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
- 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
- Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
