What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to and potentially lead multidisciplinary teams at the sub-function level
• Develop plans and manage resources for sub-function projects, ensuring efficient execution
• Apply technical knowledge to design and execute independent projects, serving as a scientific resource
• Develop and drive scientific strategies for midterm goals and direction of the sub-function, including mentoring within the team
• Implement scientific strategies to develop small and large molecules targeting proteins involved in inflammatory and autoimmune processes
• Manage target discovery and validation projects within a drug discovery setting, promoting novel experimental techniques and methodologies
• Present scientific findings and developed technologies in meetings and publish relevant articles in scientific journals
• Apply expertise in tumor biology models, immuno-oncology related models, and translational research to advance cancer vaccines and similar immunotherapeutic approaches, interacting extensively with other Research and non-Research functions

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

• PhD/JD with at least eight 8 of experience or MD/DVM with at least 2 years of experience
• Proven experience in independently designing and executing experiments that delve into the immunologic mechanisms modulating the adaptive immune response against tumor antigens
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers
• Ability to develop and coach others and oversee and guide the work of colleagues to achieve significant outcomes and create business impact
• In-depth understanding of dendritic cell biology
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in using Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

• Experience with mammalian cells and functional assays, particularly neutralization assays
• Expertise in biologics lead generation methods
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior scientists
• Ability to present complex scientific data to a variety of audiences
• A track record of publishing in high-impact scientific journals
• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Relocation support available

Work Location Assignment: This is a hybrid role requiring you to live within commuting distance and work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week or more as needed.

 

 

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
