Role Summary
Hausner seeks a full-time, year-round Technology Support Specialist to join the Information Systems Department, reporting to the Information Systems Manager.
The Technology Support Specialist provides frontline technical support for the applications, accounts, and technology used across the Hausner community. The primary focus is supporting teachers, staff, students, and parents with account provisioning, access, application settings, and troubleshooting across the school’s SaaS and educational technology platforms.
The role also provides hands-on support for printers, projectors, classroom presentation technology, and audio/visual needs for scheduled school events. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent customer service, patience, clear communication, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide frontline technical support for applications and online services used by Hausner teachers, staff, students, and parents, including Google Workspace and the school’s educational technology and SaaS platforms.
- Provision, modify, and deactivate user accounts; manage routine access permissions and application settings; and assist users with account setup, login, and access.
- Troubleshoot application, authentication, access, and configuration issues, resolving problems directly or escalating them to the Information Systems Manager, system owner, or vendor as appropriate.
- Provide responsive and patient support to users with varying levels of technical experience and maintain practical support and process documentation.
- Troubleshoot and provide routine support for printers, copiers, projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, and classroom presentation technology.
- Assist teachers and staff with classroom technology setup, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
- Set up, test, operate, and troubleshoot A/V technology for all-school assemblies, Back-to-School Nights, Open Houses, meetings, presentations, and other scheduled school and classroom events.
- Assist with other Information Systems Department projects and priorities as assigned by the Information Systems Manager.

Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and ability to learn unfamiliar software and systems quickly.
- Excellent customer service, communication, patience, professionalism, and follow-through.
- Ability to support students and adults with a wide range of technical abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a busy school environment.
- Ability to adapt to various environments and people
- Relevant education, technical training, certifications, or hands-on experience. Prior professional technology support experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Google Workspace, educational technology platforms, help desk systems, printers, projectors, or A/V systems is helpful but not required.
Compensation
This is a full-time, year-round, hourly, non-exempt position with a pay range of $30–$38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Regular work is Monday through Friday, with occasional pre-scheduled evening or weekend work for school events and projects.
Physical Requirements
The role requires regular movement throughout campus and hands-on work with classroom and A/V equipment, including bending, kneeling, working under and around equipment, using appropriate tools and ladders, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
