Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is looking for dependable Armed Multi-Site Security Officers to provide coverage when additional staffing is needed throughout the Central Mountain region, from Rifle to Frisco, as well as in the Grand Junction area.
This position is designed for officers who are comfortable with changing assignments and can step in for open shifts, callouts, patrol coverage, and special security needs. Assignments may vary by location, schedule, and operational priority.
Officers must be prepared to work independently, travel between assigned areas, and maintain the same level of professionalism and attention to detail regardless of the assignment.
Areas of Responsibility
Coverage & Armed Assignments
- Accept available assignments based on operational needs and individual availability.
- Provide coverage for vacant armed posts, employee callouts, planned absences, and temporary staffing gaps.
- Support special assignments when additional security personnel are requested.
- Report to designated locations prepared to perform assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain a professional and attentive armed presence throughout each assignment.
- Review and follow applicable post orders and assignment instructions.
- Adapt quickly when schedules, locations, or operational priorities change.
- Communicate availability and assignment-related concerns to the appropriate Operations personnel.
Regional Patrol Operations
- Operate a company-provided vehicle when assigned to authorized regional patrol duties.
- Travel between designated locations according to established instructions.
- Conduct vehicle and foot checks of assigned buildings, entrances, gates, parking areas, and exterior boundaries.
- Look for unauthorized access, property damage, hazards, suspicious activity, or unusual conditions.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings while traveling between assignments.
- Perform patrol activities according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Report significant findings or concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain proper care and responsible use of company vehicles and equipment.
Security Response
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, emergency situations, and reported security concerns when assigned.
- Assess circumstances carefully and remain within the scope of authorized responsibilities.
- Take appropriate action in accordance with company procedures and applicable law.
- Request assistance from supervisors, emergency responders, or other authorized personnel when necessary.
- Use professional verbal communication when interacting with individuals during security-related situations.
- Help protect people, property, and designated areas during assigned duties.
- Maintain composure and sound judgment when circumstances change unexpectedly.
Documentation & Operations Communication
- Complete activity logs, patrol records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Record relevant observations, response details, and actions taken during assignments.
- Document conditions discovered during vehicle or foot patrols.
- Communicate incidents, assignment changes, and operational concerns to supervisors or Operations personnel.
- Provide accurate information during shift transitions and supervisor check-ins.
- Submit required documentation within established timeframes.
- Use approved electronic reporting systems and mobile applications when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Personal firearm required.
- Must be able to meet all applicable requirements for assigned armed security duties.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
- Ability to travel throughout the Central Mountain region from Rifle to Frisco and the Grand Junction area as assigned.
- Availability to accept callouts, open shifts, and special assignments according to operational needs.
- Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to adapt to different locations, schedules, post orders, and assignment requirements.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle when performing authorized patrol duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous armed security experience.
- Mobile patrol or field security experience.
- Military or law enforcement background.
- Experience providing coverage across multiple locations.
- Previous experience responding to alarms, disturbances, or calls for service.
- Familiarity with electronic activity logs and incident-reporting platforms.
- Strong decision-making and conflict-management abilities.
- Experience operating company or patrol vehicles during security assignments.
- Availability for short-notice coverage and changing schedules.
Travel & Vehicle Expectations
- Regional travel is an essential part of certain assignments.
- Travel between the Grand Junction office and assigned regional deployments is paid.
- A company vehicle is provided for authorized regional patrol duties.
- Officers must follow company requirements for the use and care of company vehicles.
- Officers must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Travel requirements may vary depending on the assignment.
