As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government service center, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Security Experience:

• Candidates must have a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115). This experience should include, but is not limited to, roles in security monitoring, access control, and emergency response.

Technical Proficiency:

• Applicants must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204). This includes familiarity with security software, reporting tools, and general office applications.

Customer Service Experience:

• A background in customer service (B219) is required. Candidates should be able to showcase their ability to interact positively with clients, handle inquiries, and resolve conflicts effectively

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the government service center, including public areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions or concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
