Description
The Accounting Intern works alongside the Koops Accounting team to gain hands-on experience supporting day-to-day accounting activities. This role provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge, develop technical skills, and learn how accounting supports a growing, employee-owned company.

What You'll Do
- Support the Accounting team with data entry, transactions, and financial recordkeeping
- Assist with preparing financial reports, invoices, and other accounting documents
- Research and analyze accounting information
- Work with accounting software and financial data
- Maintain accurate and confidential financial records
- Collaborate with the Accounting team on projects and process improvements
- Take on additional projects to gain experience across accounting and office operations
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to gain hands-on experience in accounting.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Finance related field
- Completed introductory accounting courses with a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong mathematical and computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and responsibility
- Ability to handle confidential information with honesty and integrity
- Motivation to learn and take on new challenges
