P3Position Summary
The Analyst, Chicken Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), will support financial reporting, analytics, and planning activities for the Chicken segment. This role will assist with the consolidation of financial projections, development and maintenance of standardized operational and financial reporting, and preparation of segment-wide deliverables for leadership review. The position is designed to provide analytical support across business units, helping ensure financial assumptions, reporting outputs, and planning materials are accurate, consistent, and actionable. The Analyst will provide foundational support resulting in leadership with better understanding business performance, financial trends, and key operational drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with periodic financial planning activities, including operating plan and quarterly projection processes, while helping ensure assumptions are consistent and reasonable across business units.
- Prepare and maintain standardized operational and financial reporting across the Chicken segment, including recurring reporting packages, variance analyses, and leadership-ready materials.
- Help develop routine business summaries and presentation materials for leadership reviews, QBRs, board-related materials, and other recurring segment deliverables.
- Support inventory and cash flow reporting by preparing monthly analyses, maintaining models, and partnering with Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, and business unit teams to improve reporting accuracy and insight.
- Assist with SG&A reporting and analysis, including recurring cost tracking, variance explanations, allocation support, and trend reporting for leadership.
- Support productivity, pricing, and sales channel analysis by gathering data, preparing summaries, maintaining templates, and helping connect financial impacts to planning cycles such as AOP and latest estimates.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and analytics, including financial bridges, weekly commentary, dashboard support, executive reporting, and special project analysis.
Preferred Attributes
- Financial planning and analysis experience or demonstrated interest in FP&A.
- Strong Excel modeling and reporting capability.
- Ability to manage recurring reporting processes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, Accounting, and Corporate Finance.
- Curiosity to understand business drivers behind financial results, including inventory, SG&A, productivity, pricing, macroeconomic factors, market trends, and sales channel performance.
- Ability to justify executive-ready materials with clear, concise commentary and well-organized analysis.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.
Experience: Preferred 1 year of experience or equivalent, preferably with an emphasis on financial analysis, reporting, or FP&A support.
Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to leverage AI to accelerate technical and analytical skills.
Experience with reporting tools, dashboards (Power BI), or financial planning systems is a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with key management and leadership at multiple levels.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to organize data, identify trends, prepare financial summaries, and translate financial information into clear insights for business partners.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
