** This opening is for a Property Inside Coach position
With management oversight, delivers moderately complex technical training programs to assigned client groups in live and/or virtual classroom environments. Works with subject matter experts to develop training solutions consistent with accepted principles of instructional design. Leads moderately complex projects, including developing non-training learning solutions or other department initiatives (e.g., intranet site, newsletter, etc.). Evaluates effectiveness of training programs. Handles program administration needs such as communications, scheduling, roster management, materials production, facilities coordination, etc.
This is a grade 13, 18 - 24 months rotational position based on candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers moderately complex technical training programs to assigned client groups, typically consisting of front-line employees and managers.
- Training delivery includes both live and virtual classroom environments.
- Identifies appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, nature of training being delivered, audience location, point within the learning process, etc.
- Conducts needs assessment to identify learning objectives.
- Develops training content to meet the needs of assigned client groups and/or to improve upon the quality of existing content.
- Leads training development projects of a modest scale, working with subject matter experts, managers, and instructional designers.
- Project work includes needs assessments, course content development, program assessments, participant testing/evaluations.
- May develop non-training learning solutions.
- Consults with managers to identify training needs and to ensure course content, training methodologies, and training materials meet those needs.
- Conducts formal training program assessments to identify gaps between learning objectives and learning outcomes.
- Develops and administers tools to measure effectiveness of training programs Recommends improvements to the quality of training programs based on analysis of training effectiveness.
- Handles program administration needs, to include communications, scheduling, roster management, materials production, facilities coordination, participant tracking, etc.
- Answers participant questions related to training.
- Provides feedback and coaching to client audience in one-on-one and group settings.
- Creates individual development plans based on formal assessments and manager feedback Identifies needs and provides recommendations for utilizing outside resources.
- Assists in sourcing third party training vendors.
- Handles vendor management, to include coordination of resources and ensuring quality of product and service levels delivered.
Qualifications
- Has working knowledge of instructional design principles and concepts.
- Strong knowledge of department duties, responsibilities and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include advanced presentation/platform skills and solid facilitation skills.
- Proven ability to engage audiences in learning topics and to respond to audience needs.
- Solid ability to identify different learning styles and to select optimal delivery methods to achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrates solid project management skills. Knowledge of common e-Learning software applications required, including creating new modules.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, in addition to 5-6 years' experience in mix of technical and training roles.
- Advanced education in training and development preferred.
