Truliant’s mission is to improve lives by putting our members first, providing great service and straightforward financial solutions. Our core values of Member Focus, Service, Guidance, Relationships, and Community define how we interact with members to fulfill our mission of improving lives and providing a foundation on which we conduct ourselves.
Our Promise to Our Teammates: Truliant strives to provide all teammates with an enjoyable place to work where they feel valued, empowered and rewarded for all that they do.
Please note, this position will close on 8/24/2.
Why this role matters
Reliable technology helps every Truliant team member serve our members with confidence. As an IT Service Desk Engineer, you’ll be a trusted first point of contact when technology gets in the way, restoring access, solving problems, and creating a smooth employee experience across the credit union.
If you enjoy translating technical know-how into clear, thoughtful support and like the variety of solving a new challenge each day, you’ll find meaningful work here.
What you’ll do
You’ll own technology support requests from first contact through resolution or thoughtful escalation. Working across desktop, mobile, network, conference room, and branch technologies, you’ll combine hands-on troubleshooting with clear communication and dependable follow-through.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Evaluate and prioritize support requests, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and keep employees informed through resolution.
- Document trouble tickets and solutions, strengthen internal knowledge resources, and monitor the Service Desk queue and service-level commitments.
- Set up accounts and devices, support new-hire technology onboarding, and participate in the weekly on-call rotation, including after-hours and weekend coverage.
You’ll also collaborate with Telecom, IT Security, IT Infrastructure, vendors, and other support partners to resolve complex issues, support branch technology, and improve the way employees experience IT support.
What you bring
You’re a practical problem-solver who can move comfortably between technical investigation and people-centered service. You organize your work, communicate in plain language, and stay focused on a complete solution, even when priorities shift.
This role is a great fit if you have:
Required Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in an IT Service Desk Engineer or comparable technical support role.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Working technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, current network protocols and standards, laptops, printers, MS Office products, and VMWare.
Required Skills:
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows environments, laptops, printers, Microsoft Office applications, mobile devices, and common employee technology issues.
- Work with Windows Active Directory, VMware virtual environments, current network protocols, and PC hardware and software.
- Research and analyze technical issues, identify root causes, document accurate solutions, and escalate appropriately when needed.
- Explain technical concepts clearly in spoken and written English to employees with different levels of technical knowledge.
- Prioritize requests, manage ticket and service-level commitments, and maintain professional, detail-oriented service during high-pressure situations.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in an IT-related field, or 3 years of equivalent experience in place of a degree.
You should also be comfortable working with minimal supervision, adjusting priorities as needs change, supporting employees remotely and in person, and participating in a recurring after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.
What sets you apart
You don’t need to check every box, but here’s what will help you thrive in this role:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
- A+ or Network+ certification.
- Experience supporting VMware Horizon, vSphere, telecommunications, or branch hardware such as zero clients, printers, scanners, signing devices, cash dispensers, and cash recyclers.
What you’ll get
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally.
In this role, you can expect:
- Purpose-driven work that helps Truliant employees stay connected and equipped to provide dependable service to our members.
- Hands-on exposure to a broad enterprise technology environment, with opportunities to deepen your skills across desktop support, virtualization, mobile devices, networking, telecommunications, and branch operations.
- Ongoing learning through complex troubleshooting, documentation, onboarding support, and collaboration with IT Security, Infrastructure, Telecom, and vendor partners.
- A team-based culture where thoughtful communication, respectful service, shared problem-solving, and reliable follow-through matter.
- Benefits and resources designed to support eligible team members’ well-being, growth, and success at Truliant Federal Credit Union.
People who enjoy this work value the chance to solve practical problems, build trusted relationships across the organization, and see the immediate difference reliable technology support can make.
