As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and maintenance of essential mechanical and HVAC systems that support manufacturing, clean room, and research and development activities. You will design, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to deliver innovative solutions, drive system reliability, and support operational excellence on a day-to-day basis. This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill key responsibilities and make a tangible impact on Intel's operations and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems such as chilled water plants, boilers, environmental abatement systems, and clean room equipment.
- Design, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify and resolve systematic issues.
- Develop engineering scopes of work for mechanical projects and conduct design reviews and evaluations.
- Partner with internal customers and operations teams to implement engineering solutions that support equipment and systems needs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, and oversee prototype fabrication and design testing.
- Collaborate with maintenance service providers to ensure mechanical systems are operated and maintained within specified limits.
- Create mechanical systems roadmaps and asset replacement strategies to ensure reliability, redundancy, and capacity for facility expansions and renovations.
- Support Intel's safety, reliability, and environmental objectives through daily tactical efforts in mechanical systems management.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing mechanical systems OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience OR PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience mentioned above should be a combination of the following areas:
- Mechanical system design, analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or environmental compliance exhaust systems or mechanical process equipment.
- Engineering tools for system evaluation and design documentation.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to facilities management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in manufacturing or clean room facilities.
- Develop long-term strategies for system reliability and capacity planning.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $140,830.00-198,820.00 USD
