Job Description

As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to work with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns for reporting.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in support of site rules, credential checks, and/or authorized entry procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
