About You
Cromwell Property Group is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join our Development team in either Melbourne or Adelaide. As our newest team member, you will be recognised for your unique skills, diverse ideas, abilities, and creativity. We thrive on collaboration and diversity and value the fresh perspectives you will bring to the table.
We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and interested in building a long-term career in property development. You will be able to analyse detailed information while maintaining sight of broader project and investment objectives.
Regular interstate travel will be required.
You will bring:
· A tertiary qualification in property development, construction management, town planning, engineering, architecture, quantity surveying, project management or a related discipline
· Approximately three to five years of relevant experience in property, construction, development or professional services
· Exposure to commercial office or industrial property projects
· An understanding of the property development lifecycle, project delivery and feasibility principles
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
· The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, priorities and project requirements
· Clear written and verbal communication skills
· Initiative, accountability and a collaborative approach
· The ability to work independently while recognising when guidance or support is required
About the Role
Reporting to the Development Manager, you will support the identification, assessment, planning and delivery of opportunities across Cromwell’s commercial and industrial portfolio. You will undertake market research, planning investigations, technical due diligence, feasibility modelling and financial analysis to inform project strategies and investment recommendations.
Working closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors and approval authorities, you will help coordinate planning and design activities, statutory approvals, procurement and project delivery. You will also monitor programs, budgets, risks and key milestones, prepare project reports, and support projects through construction, practical completion and handover.
This is an opportunity to apply your experience in property, construction, planning, engineering or project management within a property investment and development environment. Working across Cromwell’s established commercial and industrial development portfolio nationally, you will provide support to the Development Manager and gain exposure to the full development lifecycle. As your experience and capability grow, you will progressively take greater ownership of project workstreams and delivery responsibilities.
