Description
Salary
£14.21 per hour, working a 20 hour week across 3 days. (Monday, Tuesday & Friday)How do you fancy being at the heart of a busy bus depot, helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes?
We are looking for an Administration Clerk to join our Walkergate depot team, working a 20 hour week across 3 days. This is a varied and important role providing administrative support across a range of operational activities, helping our drivers, engineers and management teams deliver a reliable service to our customers.
No two days are quite the same and you'll play a key part in ensuring depot administration is completed accurately, efficiently and on time.
So what will you be letting yourself in for, we hear you ask!
You'll provide day-to-day administrative support for the depot, helping to maintain records, process paperwork, input data, produce reports and respond to enquiries from colleagues and customers.
You'll support a variety of activities including document management, updating business systems with information critical to support effective management, general administration tasks and filing, as well as supporting depot management teams with the recruitment process. You'll also be responsible for ensuring information is recorded accurately and confidentially, while helping managers keep on top of key tasks and deadlines.
This is very much a 'sleeves up' role. One minute you could be updating records or preparing reports, and the next supporting depot colleagues with queries or assisting with operational administration.
There's just a couple of 'must-haves' from our perspective...
You'll be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy office environment. You'll be confident working with information, maintaining accurate records and ensuring deadlines are met.
Good communication skills are essential, as you'll be working with colleagues across the depot and supporting both operational and engineering teams. You'll be approachable, professional and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
Ideally, you'll already have experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook, alongside experience of working in an administrative or customer-focused role. Experience within a transport, logistics or operational environment would be beneficial, but most importantly we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn.
So if that's you, we'd love to see you apply.
Come and join a team that keeps our buses moving and our communities connected every day.
