## What you’ll do:
As a BIM/3D Modeling Engineer at Eaton, you will play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into accurate digital models and BIM-enabled solutions. You will leverage your expertise in electrical components and assemblies to interpret technical specifications, and 2D engineering drawings, converting them into detailed 3D representations using industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms. The role requires strong technical and analytical capabilities, along with proficiency in C# programming to develop and enhance 3D modeling and automation solutions.
" 1. Collaborate with Product Teams - Partner with product managers to debug, refine, and enhance Bid Manager takeoffs for electrical assemblies.
2\. Maintain Technical Expertise - Demonstrate deep knowledge of Eaton’s low and medium voltage products and interpret specifications for accurate BIM modeling.
3\. Execute Development Lifecycle - Follow a structured process for updating Bid Manager content—from requirement gathering to testing and deployment. Ensure all deliverables meet Eaton’s BIM standards and project-specific requirements.
4\. Enhance Software Integration - Work with the Bid Manager software development team to improve platform capabilities and BIM integration.
5\. Ensure Quality and Timeliness - Deliver assigned tasks with precision and efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality.
6\. Monitor and Report Progress - Provide monthly updates on request volumes, progress, and backlog through scorecards and reports.
7\. Drive Process Improvements - Identify and implement strategies to streamline BIM request handling and reduce turnaround time.
8\. Develop Automation Scripts - Create scripts that integrate Bid Manager takeoffs with Design Automation tools for seamless model generation.
9\. Create BIM Specifications - Develop and implement product-specific BIM specs, translating Bid Manager selections into compliant scripts.
10\. Support Diverse Product Lines - Work across multiple Eaton product lines including ATS, Safety Switches, Transformers, Group Metering, UPS, and Motor Starters."
## Qualifications:
Graduate in Engineering (Electrical).
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Switchgear Industry
## Skills:
"A. Good understanding of technical aspects of Electrical Components and assemblies
B. Strong Knowledge of 3D models, AutoCAD,BIM,REVIT etc.
C. Should be able to interpret specifications, drawings and schematics
D. Proficient in interpreting 2D technical drawings and generating 3D representations from them
E. Fair problem solving and troubleshooting skills
F. Familiarity with BIM standards and workflow.
