Markon is seeking a Technical Operations Project Manager to support an Intelligence Community client in Chantilly, Virginia. The Technical Operations PM will serve as the primary technical point of contact for the Project Team, providing technical guidance, coordinating requirements, and overseeing solutions as customer communications needs evolve.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a designated Project Team and its communications solution suite.
- Manage and track customer technical solutions throughout the lifecycle, from requirements gathering and development through implementation and operations and maintenance (O&M).
- Gather and document technical requirements and coordinate them with customers, stakeholders, and development teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain communication across technical and mission teams.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure communications solutions address evolving mission requirements.
- Support the design, configuration, deployment, and sustainment of robust and scalable IT solutions.
- Coordinate with development teams to track and validate technical requirements.
- Apply IT and cybersecurity best practices throughout solution development and implementation.
- Support networking, network security, virtualization, and associated infrastructure technologies.
- Support the implementation and sustainment of Virtual Desktop technologies.
- Train system users on newly implemented technical solutions and capabilities.
- Present technical operations, project status, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
Required:
- An Active TS/SCI with a FSP (preferrably from this client) is required to be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the technical function and at least 11 years of relevant experience developing robust, scalable IT solutions, with an emphasis on virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure; OR
- Associate’s degree and at least 13 years of related experience; OR
- No degree and at least 15 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, solution configuration and deployment, and user training.
- Experience managing technical solutions throughout their lifecycle, including requirements, implementation, and O&M.
- Experience implementing IT and cybersecurity best practices and working with networking and network security technologies.
- Experience with Virtual Desktop technologies.
- Experience working with development teams to track and validate technical requirements.
- Ability to present and discuss technical operations effectively with senior management.
Desired:
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and designing, building, deploying, or maintaining networks.
- Recent hands-on experience (within the last 3 years) with WAN, LAN, and client-access technologies such as MACsec, HSRP, VRF, VPC, ACLs, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Understanding of security monitoring and auditing, including experience guiding systems through the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
- Hands-on experience with commercial cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with commercial voice technologies such as VoIP and PBX.
Salary Range
USD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
