Chief Executive Officer – Semiconductor / Advanced Electronics

Our client is an established Singapore-headquartered organisation with significant operations and business interests across Asia.

As part of its next phase of growth and transformation, the company is seeking an accomplished senior executive to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organisation, with overall responsibility for business performance, sustainable growth and the continued development of the organisation across its key Asian markets.

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute and strategically minded leader with substantial experience in the semiconductor, advanced electronics or closely related manufacturing sector, together with meaningful experience operating and developing businesses in China and the wider Asian market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide overall strategic leadership and direction for the organisation, working closely with the Board to define and execute its long-term strategy.
• Assume overall accountability for business performance, including P&L, revenue growth, profitability and sustainable value creation.
• Lead and develop the senior management team across commercial, operations, technology, engineering, supply chain, finance and corporate functions.
• Identify and execute growth opportunities across new and existing customers, markets, products and strategic partnerships.
• Strengthen the organisation's competitive positioning and relationships with key customers and business partners.
• Drive operational excellence while ensuring alignment between commercial, technology and manufacturing strategies.
• Provide leadership across China and other key Asian markets and develop strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Evaluate industry, market and technology developments and translate them into actionable strategic priorities.
• Drive organisational development, leadership capability and succession planning to support future growth.
• Maintain effective engagement with the Board and key stakeholders on business performance, strategic initiatives, opportunities and risks.

REQUIREMENTS

• Substantial senior leadership experience within the semiconductor, advanced electronics, electronics manufacturing or closely related technology/manufacturing sector.
• Proven general management and P&L leadership experience with responsibility across multiple business functions.
• Strong strategic and commercial capabilities, supported by a sound understanding of technology, manufacturing and operations.
• Meaningful hands-on experience managing, operating or developing businesses in China.
• Strong understanding of the China business environment, customers and stakeholder landscape.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering profitable growth, business transformation and/or organisational development.
• Experience managing businesses and multicultural teams across Asia.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience within a listed-company environment would be advantageous.
• Experience working within an entrepreneurial or Asian-origin organisation would be advantageous.
• Willingness to be based in Singapore and travel regularly within Asia, particularly China.
