We are immediately hiring for Tool Engineering - Tool Management in CNC machining Cutting Tools Application Engineer responsible for cutting tool development, process optimization, vendor management, and tooling cost reduction initiatives. The role focuses on improving machining productivity, tool life, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

1.       Collaborate with Process engineering teams to optimize tooling selection for specific applications.

2.       Lead the end-to-end selection of cutting tools for Turning, Milling, Turn-Mill applications to support NPD, production, and machining trials.

3.       Select and optimize cutting geometries, tool materials, coatings, and grades based on workpiece materials, machining conditions, and application requirements.

4.       Develop and implement tooling strategies to achieve Cost Per Component (CPC) targets, reduce tooling cost, reduce cycle times, and enhance machining productivity.

5.       Introduce next-generation cutting tools, advanced grades, and innovative machining technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and competitiveness.

6.       Troubleshoot machining and tooling-related issues, providing effective technical solutions to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

7.       Develop NPD tools with optimized cost and quality as per the process design requirement and ensure with Quality.

 

Your Profile:

·       Education Qualification: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

·       Familiarity with cutting parameters, tool coatings, tool regrinding, and productivity improvement techniques

·       Strong problem-solving, communication, and vendor coordination skills.
