Description
Ensure the safety of our premises, assets, staff, and visitors. The safety officer's responsibilities include patrolling the premises, setting up security controls, monitoring property access, investigating suspicious behavior, and enforcing company policies..
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
- Monitor fire safety, emergency exits, evacuation procedures, and Knowledge of working with addressable fire alarm panels, fire pumps and automatic fire suppression system panels and equipment
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling/storage of chemicals.
- Report and assist in investigating work-related accidents and incidents.
- Monitor contractors and high-risk activities to ensure safety compliance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Safety & Occupational Health, preferably in a hotel.
- Relevant Safety & Occupational Health qualification/certification.
- Good knowledge of fire safety and workplace safety procedures.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including night shifts when required.
