Role summary:The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance - DS, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility equipment and fixtures. This role requires diagnosing issues, executing repairs across multiple trades, managing work orders, and coordinating with contractors while adhering to regulatory standards. The technician supports continuous improvement efforts by applying expertise to optimize maintenance processes and deliver quality results. What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, identifying wear and recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, utilizing appropriate tools and manuals.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Document maintenance and repair activities accurately, including expense tracking and warranty claims.
- Support continuous improvement by applying expertise and collaborating with stakeholders to meet business needs.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in preventive maintenance and facility repair to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics and repairs, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Proficiency in performing major and minor repairs across multiple crafts, including plumbing, carpentry, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs for accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to build partnerships and support business needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
