Role summary:The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance - DS, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility equipment and fixtures. This role requires expertise in multiple crafts, including electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and carpentry, to promptly address maintenance needs and emergencies. The technician manages work orders, coordinates with contractors, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. By applying technical knowledge and best practices, this position supports operational efficiency and contributes to maintaining a safe, reliable, and well-maintained environment aligned with business objectives.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, diagnosing problems with blueprints and manuals.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and warranty claims while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and facility repairs to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and repairs, utilizing hand and power tools effectively.
- Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various facility equipment including plumbing, carpentry, and material handling systems.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to maintain compliance and safety standards.
- Skilled in managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and coordinating with contractors to ensure quality outcomes.
- Capability to document maintenance activities accurately and recommend repair or replacement needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
