Role summary:The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance - DS, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility equipment and fixtures. This role requires expertise in multiple trades, including electrical diagnostics and facility repairs, to promptly address maintenance needs and emergency calls. The technician manages work orders, coordinates with contractors, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. By applying technical knowledge and best practices, this position supports operational efficiency and contributes to a safe, well-maintained environment aligned with Walmart’s commitment to quality and integrity.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, diagnosing problems with blueprints and manuals.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Order parts, track expenses, submit warranty claims, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Provide expert advice to support continuous improvement and align maintenance efforts with business needs.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and facility repairs to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and repairs, utilizing hand and power tools effectively.
- Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair various facility equipment including plumbing, carpentry, and material handling machinery.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance scheduling, work order management, and contractor coordination.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Capability to document maintenance activities and recommend repair or replacement needs accurately.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
