The Associate Key Account Performance Specialist – National Opportunity:
Townsquare Ignite is looking for an Associate Key Account Performance Specialist to join our growing National Team, supporting key accounts across core verticals including Home Services, Legal, and Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).
This role works closely with our Key Account Performance Managers to support the strategy, execution, performance, and ongoing management of digital campaigns. You’ll collaborate across Sales, Campaign Management, Search, Buying, Analytics, and other internal teams to help ensure campaigns are set up accurately, launched successfully, and continuously evaluated against client goals and KPIs.
As an Associate, you’ll develop a strong understanding of our clients’ businesses, digital strategies, and the unique dynamics of the verticals we serve. You’ll assist with campaign recommendations, performance reporting, client communication, and internal coordination while building the strategic and relationship-management skills needed to grow into greater account ownership.
While this role does not directly manage campaigns within advertising platforms, you’ll play an important role in connecting client objectives with our internal teams and ensuring our Key Account Performance Managers have the information, insights, and support needed to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Success in this role is measured by campaign execution, responsiveness, quality of support, client satisfaction, and your continued development as a strategic digital partner.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Account Support
- Partner with Key Account Performance Managers to support a portfolio of key accounts across Home Services, Legal, QSR, and other performance-driven verticals.
- Develop an understanding of each client’s business, objectives, customer journey, KPIs, and competitive landscape to help inform campaign strategy.
- Support the development and review of digital proposals and campaign recommendations to ensure proposed solutions align with client objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on campaign performance, feedback from internal buying teams, and evolving client needs.
- Assist with identifying optimization, upsell, and renewal opportunities based on campaign performance and client goals.
- Develop expertise across Townsquare Ignite’s digital capabilities and the role each solution plays within a full-funnel strategy.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a reliable resource for internal teams supporting assigned accounts.
Campaign Pre-Launch
- Partner with Key Account Performance Managers and internal teams to ensure campaigns are properly prepared for launch.
- Review incoming orders for accuracy and ensure campaign details align with approved strategies and client expectations.
- Coordinate necessary campaign elements, including creative assets, pixels, targeting, KPIs, reporting requirements, and other launch materials.
- Compile insertion order details and schedule campaigns for trafficking through internal workflow management systems.
- Assist with targeting recommendations based on client objectives, audiences, vertical considerations, and overall tactic mix.
- Help ensure all required information and assets are received and communicated to the appropriate internal teams prior to launch.
Campaign Post-Launch
- Monitor campaign performance and delivery in partnership with Key Account Performance Managers and internal buying teams.
- Review campaign data to identify trends, potential issues, optimization opportunities, and areas requiring additional analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot campaign issues and help ensure digital buys deliver successfully.
- Assist with monthly reporting, gathering data and developing clear performance insights and recommendations.
- Participate in client reporting calls and presentations alongside Key Account Performance Managers, developing the skills to take greater ownership of client communication over time.
- Support the development of post-campaign analyses that summarize results, key learnings, and recommendations for future campaigns.
- Coordinate campaign revisions, optimizations, upsells, and renewals with the appropriate internal teams.
- Deliver responsive, high-quality support to Key Account Performance Managers, Sales, and clients throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Participate in team trainings and continually build expertise across Ignite solutions, digital advertising trends, and National Team verticals.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen collaboration across departments.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in digital advertising, campaign management, account management, media, or a related field
- Familiarity with paid search, paid social, programmatic advertising, or multi-channel digital campaigns
- Experience supporting Home Services, Legal, QSR, or other performance-driven advertising verticals is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and develop meaningful insights
- Ability to translate client requests and objectives into clear direction for internal cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an interest in continuing to develop client-facing presentation and relationship-management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, campaigns, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
- Collaborative approach with the ability to develop strong relationships across teams and departments
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to identify issues and help drive them toward resolution
- Ability to communicate data and complex information in a clear, understandable way
- Familiarity with platforms and tools such as DSPs, Asana, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Excel, and PowerPoint, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- High level of accountability, curiosity, initiative, and teamwork
- Previous account management or client-facing experience is a plus
