Description
•Provides administrative and operational support to the Director of Safety and Security in the daily coordination of campus safety and security functions.
•Maintains safety and security records, reports, logs, files, and documentation, including confidential and sensitive information.
•Assists with emergency preparedness activities, including maintaining emergency plans, contact lists, procedures, and related documentation.
•Supports compliance tracking for required safety and security training, inspections, drills exercises, and other regulatory requirements.
•Assists with the coordination and documentation of safety drills and exercises, including scheduling, notifications, attendance, and after-action documentation.
•Receives and routes safety and security-related concerns, requests, and reports to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
•Assists with incident documentation and recordkeeping, ensuring information is accurately entered, organized, and maintained.
•Maintains safety and security calendars, schedules meetings, and coordinated appointments, training, drills and other department activities.
•Assists with campus safety communications, including preparing notices, emails, information materials, and emergency preparedness communications.
•Maintains inventories and records related to safety equipment, access credentials, keys, emergency supplies, and other security resources.
•Provides administrative support for access-control operations, including assisting with personnel access requests, key fob records, and related documentation.
•Provides operational support for the Genetec security system, including personnel access credential management, basic video surveillance monitoring, and electronic door access control.
•Maintain confidentiality of safety, security, personnel, students, and other sensitive information.
•Performs other safety, security, and other duties as assigned. Acts as office receptionist; answers telephone; greets, announces, and routes visitors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate plus five years secretarial or clerical experience. Proficient in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL. A high school equivalency diploma from the State Department of Education may be substituted for high school graduation. Additional education may be substituted on a year for year basis for required experience in related areas. Special consideration will be given to applicants with an associate degree or certificate in related area.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).
Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Use of fingers.

Works inside in an office environment.
