Material Executive

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for material supply management. This includes:

• Support the demand forecast changes, managing and optimizing inventory levels, supplying planning data to operations and sales team.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with Supply chain partners, as well as functional departments within ASC network.
• Resolves shortages control and review inventory status.

• Monitor material availability for production continuity & expedite shipment from supply source, implement key initiative to reduce freight cost & shipment per.
• Manage the 3rd party forwarder service and ensure OTD of inbound shipments until QA release.
• Report potential supply risk from supply source, shipment delay for mitigation plan & discussion.

2. Supply network management

• Follow up and expedite all open Purchase Order releases to ensure suppliers meet committed delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with global supply sources, procurement teams, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to resolve shipment delays and minimize supply disruptions.
• Ensure timely FG shipment arrangements from internal and external manufacturing sites to support customer order fulfilment requirements.
• Maintain full visibility of open orders, in-transit inventory, and shipment status through regular tracking and reporting.
• Analyze backlog orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan and schedule the production operations.
• Analyze delays and interruptions accordingly to adjust production schedule to meet customer timelines.
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
• Participate in the weekly ops meeting, ensure follow-up actions are expedited.

3. Performs Ah-Hoc duties as assigned by the department head.

Qualifications

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, and Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
• At least 2 years of directly applicable experience or in supply chain function, like planning, international freight & warehouse, or production planning experience.

• Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and work experience in a dynamic production environment.

• Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.

• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.

• Supply chain analytics capabilities, with proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
