About the Role

We’re recruiting a Senior Communications Advisor to join Saputo Dairy Australia’s Communications & Community Relations team in Southbank. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will play a key role in protecting and enhancing Saputo’s reputation through strategic communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement and business partnering. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll provide trusted communications advice, support high-profile business initiatives, and help deliver clear, consistent and impactful communications to a variety of internal and external audiences.

This is a role for an established communications professional who enjoys operating as an advisor, influencing stakeholders, navigating complexity and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. This role does not involve consumer brand marketing, advertising campaigns or product marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead proactive and reactive media relations activities, including media releases, official responses and reputation management initiatives.
• Partner with the Milk Supply team to deliver supplier communications and engagement activities throughout the year.
• Provide trusted communications advice to leaders and stakeholders across the business, helping navigate issues and organisational priorities.
• Develop and deliver communication plans and content for strategic business projects and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes and ensure communications are clear, consistent and aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor communications effectiveness and contribute to issues management and crisis communication activities as required.

About You

• Experience within Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs, External Affairs or a similar communications advisory environment.
• Proven media relations and stakeholder engagement experience, with the confidence to build credibility with senior leaders.
• Strong judgement and an advisor mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and provide recommendations, not just deliver communications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Exceptional written communication skills, with a strong focus on quality, attention to detail and audience-appropriate messaging.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related discipline.
