Responsibilities
The Business Technology Partner will:
- Act as a trusted internal consultant and strategic advisor to business leaders, developing a deep understanding of their strategy, processes, challenges, and opportunities.
- Translate business strategy into measurable outcomes, transformation opportunities, and business capability needs.
- Shape demand by identifying the underlying problem, root cause, and desired outcome before defining a response.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, 5 Whys, and other structured problem-solving techniques to eliminate waste, reduce variation, and solve root causes rather than symptoms.
- Lead discovery and transformation workshops to determine how process, operating model, data, automation, AI, and technology can improve business performance.
- Develop and maintain business capability roadmaps that connect strategic priorities to required changes in process, data, operating model, and technology.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions that align stakeholders around future-state processes, capability needs, priorities, and measures of success.
- Partner with Enterprise and Solution Architects to translate capability needs into cohesive, scalable, and strategically aligned approaches.
- Connect business priorities to the appropriate capabilities across Business Applications, Technology Operations, Cyber Security, Technology Enablement, and other ETS teams.
- Define expected outcomes and measures early and partner with Transformation & Value Realization to track adoption, results, and business value.
- Promote agile, iterative transformation, delivering meaningful improvements quickly and refining approaches as the organization learns.
- Help business leaders compare competing opportunities and make explicit prioritization and investment tradeoffs based on strategic alignment, value, risk, complexity, and capacity.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience, including significant experience leading business transformation, consulting, capability planning, or technology-enabled change.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a consultant or trusted advisor, diagnosing business problems and translating strategy into actionable transformation priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to define business outcomes, establish meaningful measures, and evaluate the value and tradeoffs associated with transformation investments.
- Strong understanding of business processes, process improvement, capability planning, and technology-enabled transformation.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional discovery, workshops, planning, prioritization, or transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis, challenge assumptions, structure ambiguous problems, evaluate alternatives, and facilitate decisions.
- Strong understanding of how applications, data, automation, AI, and emerging technologies can enable business outcomes.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Ability to influence across organizational boundaries and balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Background in business consulting, management consulting, process consulting, or business transformation is highly desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent process-improvement certification
- Demonstrated experience applying DMAIC, value-stream mapping, process mapping, 5 Whys, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Proven track record supporting transformation across functions such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Services, Finance, Operations, or Customer Service.
- Experience developing business capability roadmaps, transformation plans, or strategic investment priorities.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, MuleSoft, or comparable technologies.
- Understanding of data, analytics, automation, AI, Agile delivery, and globally distributed organizations.
