JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Program Coordination & Implementation - Coordinates day-to-day Emergency Management activities, workplans, planning initiatives, documentation, reporting, and preparedness projects. Supports implementation of program priorities across departments and Sites of Care while maintaining plans, tools, procedures, and preparedness resources.Provides operational leadership and program management support for Cincinnati Children's Emergency Management Program. Responsible for coordinating day-to-day preparedness activities, planning initiatives, training and exercises, incident management support, readiness activities, and continuous improvement efforts across departments and Sites of Care. Supports organizational preparedness through program implementation, stakeholder collaboration, operational coordination, and readiness activities that advance Emergency Management priorities and sustain program effectiveness.
• Readiness, Training & Exercises - Coordinates training, drills, exercises, education, readiness activities, and incident management support. Maintains exercise documentation, readiness records, training materials, and regulatory evidence while supporting response resource and command center readiness.
• Incident Management & Continuous Improvement - Supports emergency activations, response coordination, operational preparedness activities, and stakeholder communication. Facilitates after-action reviews, corrective action tracking, performance monitoring, and improvement planning to strengthen organizational preparedness.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Program Support - Partners with departments and Sites of Care to support consistent preparedness practices, regulatory readiness, annual assessments, and program reporting requirements. Facilitates multidisciplinary planning efforts and identifies operational gaps, risks, and resource needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of related experience
• Preferred: Experience in emergency management, healthcare operations, preparedness, public health, safety, project management, business continuity, or related field.
• Preferred: Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects, exercises, planning efforts, regulatory readiness, or improvement initiatives.
• Preferred: FEMA ICS/NIMS training required or obtained within established timeframe. Professional certification preferred (AEM, CEM, CHEP, HcEM, or equivalent).
