What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government facility by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, vehicles, deliveries, and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, unusual occurrences, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
