You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. - 18+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned airport facilities, terminals, roadways, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other designated locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the airport location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation, and coordinate with airport operations and public-service agencies when directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
