Job Description
As an Airport Security Officer: Full Time Morning Shifts in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support visitors, employees, and travelers with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, access points, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and emergency responders as directed.
- Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
