Job Description
As an Airport Security Officer: F/T Morning Shifts in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and/or airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
