Description
Allan Hancock College is accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified candidates for part-time, in-person, credit and noncredit, English Language Development (ELD) instructors for future openings at all campus locations, including the Santa Maria Campus, Lompoc Valley Center, and the Santa Ynez Valley Center. Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
· Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
· Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
· Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
· Teach all scheduled classes.
· Maintain accurate records.
Knowledge of the college's Learning Management System (Canvas) is preferred
Master’s in TESL, TESOL, applied linguistics with a TESL emphasis, linguistics with a TESL emphasis, English with a TESL emphasis or education with a TESL emphasis
OR
Bachelor’s in TESL, TESOL, English with a TESL certificate, linguistics with a TESL certificate, applied linguistics with a TESL certificate, or any foreign language with a TESL certificate AND master’s in linguistics, applied linguistics, English, composition, bilingual/bicultural studies, reading, speech or any foreign language
OR the equivalent

Salary Information:
• Lecture Rate: $56.46 to $86.44 per hour, depending upon education and experience
• Lab Rate: $49.17 to $75.26 per hour, depending upon education and experience
• Activity Rate: $36.33 to $56.69 per hour, depending upon education and experience
