The Opportunity
Beca is seeking a Project Procurement Manager to join our growing Industrial team in Jakarta.
This role will support the delivery of a major industrial project in Indonesia, coordinating procurement activities from engineering through to construction and project execution. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, vendors, fabricators, logistics providers, and client supply chain teams to ensure critical materials, equipment, and contract services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedules.
This role will be based in Beca's Jakarta office, with occasional travel to project and supplier locations as required.
Role Purpose and Key Accountabilities
- Lead procurement activities for a major industrial project.
- Prepare and manage Material Requisitions (MRs), procurement packages, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate closely with engineering teams to develop procurement-ready scopes and material requirements.
- Support RFQ processes, technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
- Manage interfaces with clients, supply chain teams, logistics providers.
- Monitor procurement progress, expediting activities, and material deliveries.
- Maintain procurement registers, material status reports, and project reporting requirements.
- Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies to support project delivery.
- Coordinate procurement activities across engineering, project controls, fabrication, and construction teams.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement systems, workflows, and project delivery processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience in procurement, supply chain, EPC, EPCM, construction, industrial, energy, mining, or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement packages for major capital projects.
- Experience preparing Material Requisitions, tender documentation, bid evaluations, procurement plans, and supplier engagement activities.
- Strong understanding of procurement interfaces with engineering, fabrication, logistics, construction, and project controls.
- Experience managing long-lead equipment, fabricated materials, and critical-path procurement activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience working in EPC or EPCM project environments.
- Experience with SAP, ERP systems, procurement tracking platforms, or project controls systems.
- Experience managing fabrication, subcontractors, and supplier performance.
- Experience in industrial, mining, metals, energy, food & beverage, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience leading procurement teams or coordinating multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
