The Compliance Specialist supports nVent’s Ethics and Compliance Program by managing the Ethics Helpline and conducting or assisting with internal compliance investigations. The role includes maintaining and supporting the company’s case management system to ensure cases are accurately documented, tracked, and reported. The Compliance Specialist prepares reports, summarizes investigation findings, and supports communication with Human Resources, Legal, and leadership. This position leads low-complexity investigations and contributes to higher-complexity cases as needed. The role also assists in identifying process improvements and recommending corrective actions to address internal control or policy issues, working closely with financial and operational teams to ensure timely and appropriate follow-up on reported concerns.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Analyze investigation data, develop dashboards and visual reports, and prepare materials for leadership and Board presentations.

  • Support the Speak Up process, including managing cases in the case management system, monitoring the ethics inbox, and coordinating with the investigations team.

  • Track and report on case management metrics and trends to support continuous program improvement.

  • Assist in implementing and optimizing the case management tool and related processes.

  • Develop and deliver training sessions for stakeholders on investigations procedures and case management practices.

  • Support investigations into allegations of misconduct, including fraud, theft, conflicts of interest, or policy violations; lead low-complexity cases under supervision.

  • Draft clear, comprehensive, and timely investigation reports.

  • Review and edit forensic or investigative reports to ensure accuracy and clarity.

  • Serve as the first level of contact for Compliance matters in Mexico, escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Deliver Compliance trainings (virtual and in-person) to enhance awareness and understanding of program expectations.

  • Support data analytics for root cause analyses for substantiated cases and recommended corrective actions to strengthen internal controls.

  • Stay current on emerging trends in fraud, misconduct, and cyber-related compliance risks.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support ad hoc compliance projects as needed.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Masters, CPA, CCEP and/or other professional certification desired.

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience, working in an international environment.

  • Strong knowledge of compliance investigations, global laws/regulations, and best practices.

  • Language skills - Fluent English and Spanish required, other languages are considered a benefit.

  • Experience conducting both information seeking and admission seeking interview.

  • Experience in creating and delivering Compliance related trainings.

  • Experience with case management systems such as EQS, OneTrust, Compliance360, CaseIQ etc.

  • Experience with e-discovery tools such as Microsoft Purview.

  • Experience in data analytics with Tableu or Excel required, Power Bi good to have.

  • Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and changing environment that strives to exceed expectations.

  • Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple projects and deliverables.

  • Ability to travel withing Mexico and the United States. Some international travel may be required.

  • MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.
