Senior Financial Analyst

This is an opportunity to join Manulife’s Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Canadian Wealth Asset Management (WAM) Retail and Retirement business. In this role, you will contribute to our mission by ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting that enables strong business decision-making and operational excellence. You will gain end-to-end exposure to the accounting and reporting cycle, while working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, global environment. This role also offers opportunities to drive process improvements and enhance reporting efficiency through automation and innovation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support the end-to-end accounting and reporting cycle, including daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and analyze financial results to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reports for the Canadian WAM Retail and Retirement business
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, SOX requirements, and global standards
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support audits, regulatory requests, and ad hoc reporting needs
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement
• Support knowledge sharing and training of team members, including new joiners

• 3+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables; VBA is a plus) and experience with MS Office tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
