Our client is a well-established organization seeking an experienced professional to lead its channel sales and distribution operations.
Job Overview
The Head of Distribution Channel will develop and execute channel sales strategies, drive revenue growth, strengthen distribution networks, and manage distributor and channel partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute channel sales and distribution strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead distributor and channel partner networks to achieve sales and market coverage targets.
- Drive revenue growth through market expansion, category development, and distribution strategies.
- Monitor distributor performance, stock availability, inventory levels, and market coverage.
- Identify new distribution opportunities across General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, and other channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key channel partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and customer behaviour.
- Develop and implement trade promotions, channel incentives, and sales campaigns.
- Ensure effective route-to-market and product availability across assigned territories.
- Lead, coach, and develop sales and distribution teams.
- Monitor key KPIs including sales growth, distribution coverage, stock turnover, productivity, and market penetration.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and channel business reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Sales and Channel Management, preferably in FMCG.
- FMCG distribution and distributor network management experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, and Distributor Channels.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets, expanding distribution, and driving market growth.
- Experience managing large sales teams and multiple distribution territories.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of route-to-market strategy, trade marketing, channel profitability, and distribution economics.
- Willingness to **travel extensively across the country.
