Staff Accountant

About the Position

The Staff Accountant plays a key role on PDI's General Ledger Accounting team, helping keep our financial reporting accurate, timely, and built on a solid foundation. This is a hands-on opportunity to sharpen your accounting fundamentals in a fast-growing, family-owned company — working alongside experienced senior accountants who are invested in your development, and gaining exposure to the kind of complex, project-based accounting work that comes with being a major player in construction and design.

Position Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts to verify information is complete and accurate.
• Identify discrepancies in accounts and research them to resolution.
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards, and recommend changes or entries when necessary.
• Support month-end close processes
• Take on special projects as needed, with exposure to PDI's broader finance initiatives.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• At least 1 year of related work experience with accounting responsibilities required.
• Working knowledge of general accounting procedures and principles.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
