Description

The Shipping/Receiving Associate ships outgoing items from the facility, receives incoming items into the facility, and delivers all items to the appropriate departments and locations. They are responsible for ensuring that items are located correctly within the inventory control system.

Responsibilities

Shipping

• Remove products from inventory and ensure accurate part numbers and counts match pick list.
• Package daily orders in proper carton size to ensure safe shipping to the customer without damage.
• Create proper shipping documents via UPS, FedEx, or freight carrier.  Domestic and International.
• Wrap, stage and load palletized shipments onto freight trucks and onsite storage racks.

 

Receiving

• Unload trucks and match piece count to freight bill.  Inspect for any damage cartons.
• Match all shipments to receiving documents.  Verify part numbers and counts.
• Match all packing lists against purchase orders and enter them into the system.
• Other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Work in a safe manner at all times
• Promote a safe work environment
• Prior experience in shipping and receiving positions is preferred
• Team player with a positive attitude
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the shipping and receiving process
• Forklift certification – we will train and certify you if you’re not certified
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers
• Computer literacy is required
• Clear understanding of our LN system
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with inventory location systems preferred
• Attention to detail
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Excellent communication skills
