ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Impact Team acts as the bridge between (RED), its supporters, and the Global Fund, translating policy into compelling narratives that drive real-world change. As Vice President of Impact, you will shape the strategy that connects private sector investment to measurable impact—demonstrating how partnerships with (RED) help save lives and strengthen communities around the world.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Lead (RED)’s Impact Strategy:
- Oversee the development and evolution of (RED)’s impact positioning and contribution model, clearly defining the value and effectiveness of supporting the Global Fund.
- Translate complex global health priorities and outcomes into clear, compelling narratives that strengthen the case for partnership, inspire investment, and demonstrate measurable impact.
- Partner with the Chief Growth Officer to inform how partner contributions lead to on-the-ground results.
- Design and oversee the strategy for (RED) impact trips, ensuring they deliver meaningful engagement, deepen relationships, drive fundraising outcomes, and maximize return on investment.
Oversee Policy Relationships:
- Serve as the senior relationship lead for key policy and global health stakeholders, including the ONE Campaign, the Gates Foundation, the Global Fund, UNAIDS, and other strategic partners, ensuring strong alignment around shared priorities and objectives.
- Cultivate, manage, and grow relationships with (RED) impact ambassadors, ensuring their involvement is authentic, strategic, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Lead (RED)’s engagement strategy for major global moments and convenings—including Global Fund Replenishment activities, the World Economic Forum in Davos, UN General Assembly, and other high-profile events—to elevate visibility, influence, and impact.
Direct (RED)’s Development Efforts:
- Manage the cultivation, renewal, and reporting of grants, ensuring alignment with requirements, the timely submission of proposals and reports, and the development of compelling cases for continued investment.
- Identify and develop new opportunities to leverage advocacy, policy, and thought leadership to strengthen (RED)’s position at the intersection of global health, culture, and the private sector.
- Oversee (RED)’s development consultant and lead the Impact team.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 10–15+ years of experience in global health, international development, social impact, philanthropy, policy, or nonprofit leadership.
- Demonstrated experience translating complex global health or development issues into compelling narratives, campaigns, and propositions that drive funding and engagement.
- Significant experience managing institutional grants and funder relationships, including grant renewals, proposal development, reporting, compliance, and stewardship.
- Deep knowledge of the global health ecosystem, including experience working with or alongside multilateral organizations and/or civil society partners.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
- Experience working in a matrixed, mission-driven organization and collaborating effectively across communications, partnerships, marketing, fundraising, and policy teams.
- Passion for global health equity and a strong commitment to (RED)’s mission to end AIDS.
