THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Sales Leader is senior leadership role responsible for the overall sales performance of a cohort of Sales Producers. This leader sets production goals, drives new business and organic revenue growth, and creates a culture of accountability, coaching, and continuous development within their cohort. The Sales Leader also plays a key role in recruiting, developing, and retaining top producer talent in support of HUB’s strategic growth objectives.
In addition to leading their team, this role may also be responsible for maintaining and growing their own book of business as a Sales Producer.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Leadership & Team Performance
Leads, coaches, and develops a cohort of Sales Producers to achieve new business and organic growth targets.
Sets individual and team production goals in alignment with divisional objectives; monitors performance against targets on a regular cadence.
Establishes a positive sales culture that maximizes the strengths of each Producer; fosters an environment of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance.
Conducts regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and one-on-ones to ensure producers have clear priorities and are progressing toward goals.
Actively participates in day-to-day sales management, including field visits, joint prospect and client calls, and hands-on producer mentoring and training.
Identifies performance gaps and implements coaching plans or corrective actions as needed, in partnership with HR.
Promotes cross-selling opportunities and interdepartmental resource sharing; strategizes with CL Practice Leader/Client Service Directors to retain business year over year and identify new business development opportunities.
Collaborates with internal teams, including account managers and service staff, to ensure quality delivery of services and client satisfaction.
Develops internal resources and subject matter experts to assist producers in closing Commercial Lines business across all relevant practice areas.
Manages the sales budget for the producer cohort; engages corporate resources to support sales, marketing, and business development initiatives.
Accountable for implementing HUB CL sales best practices and sales initiatives; responsible for attending HUB sales leadership meetings and representing the cohort at the regional level.
Manages SRM activity, including oversight of pipeline reporting and utilization of CRM tools to ensure accurate, up-to-date data across the producer group.
Applies a thorough understanding of HUB’s products, services, customers, and carriers to drive profitable growth and further HUB’s financial and strategic goals.
Applies core business principles to support HUB’s financial and strategic goals.
Proactively recommends ways to increase revenue, reduce costs, manage risk, and enhance client experience.
Collaborates with Sales Operations and HR on compensation planning, producer leveling, and workforce planning for the cohort.
Partners with Talent Acquisition and divisional leadership on producer recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new producers.
Positively and proactively represents HUB at meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events relevant to the Commercial Lines market.
Supports the development and execution of practice strategies aligned with the Commercial Lines business and the needs of the producer group.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales, with a demonstrated track record of production success.
Minimum of 3 years of sales leadership, team management, or producer mentorship experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
Experience selling into a specific industry or specialty preferred
Property & Casualty license required

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position primarily involves remaining in a stationary position for the majority of the workday.
The person in this position frequently communicates with colleagues and clients both in person and on the telephone; Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000k depending on geographical location and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
