As a Armed Security Officer - Government Building in Mesquite, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following established procedures for visitors, deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site policies and applicable requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
