Armed Security Officer

Location: Sheridan, CO 80110
Employment Type: Part-Time / Multi-Site
Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour
 

Position Summary

Citadel Security USA is seeking a reliable Armed Multi-Site Security Officer to provide coverage throughout the Denver area. This is as-needed position intended for individuals who can adjust to different assignments and security environments.

Because this is a variable position, there is no set schedule. Available shifts may change based on operational needs, and officers should be comfortable working at different assigned locations.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide armed security coverage during assigned shifts.
• Maintain a professional and attentive presence throughout the assignment.
• Patrol designated interior and exterior areas as directed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
• Verify authorization when access control procedures are in place.
• Watch for unusual activity, safety concerns, property issues, or security violations.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies while following established procedures.
• Communicate important information to supervisors, dispatch, and authorized personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Follow site-specific post orders and instructions for each assignment.
• Adjust to different locations, procedures, and security responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least legally eligible to work as an armed security officer under applicable requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Denver Guard Card.
• Must be able to legally possess and carry a firearm while performing assigned duties.
• Must have the required firearm for the position.
• Must be able to successfully complete a required drug test.
• Must be dependable and able to report for assigned shifts as scheduled.
• Must be comfortable working independently and adapting to changing assignments.
• Strong observation, communication, and professional judgment skills are required.
   

Preferred Qualities

• Previous armed security experience.
• Experience working varied or rotating assignments.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain composed when handling unexpected situations.
• Familiarity with patrol procedures, access control, incident reporting, and emergency response.
• Professional appearance, communication, and conduct.
