About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Match invoices to supporting documentation and approvals.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transactions, and other approved payment methods.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems.
- Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or at least 5 years of experience in an Accounting position .
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Experience with accounting software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and keyboard movements.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm
- In-Office Position
