Description
- Complete tasks assigned by Kitchen Manager or other supervisory staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area
- Contribute to an environment of customer service designed to support kitchen volunteers in the creative preparation and service of meals.
- Ensure cleanliness and appropriateness of food service operations.
- Contribute to a positive working environment and work collaboratively with all staff, volunteers and clients.
- Be flexible in scheduling to meet the needs of the organization.
- Follow generally accepted food sanitation rules.
- Other projects and duties as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Considerable knowledge of requirements and needs of seniors.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Superior communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse individuals.
- Ability to work both independently and as an active team member.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to respond calmly and effectively in a crisis situation.
- High School Diploma/GED equivalency.
- Equivalent of education, experience and training;
- Commercial kitchen or restaurant experience required.
- Successful pre-employment drug screen.
- Successful criminal Background check.
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, driving, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
