The Bar Manager for The Sunset Terrace is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, service excellence, and beverage quality. This leadership role requires creativity in mixology, strong operational management skills, and the ability to inspire and develop a team to deliver exceptional experiences that reflect Aman’s philosophy of understated elegance and personalized service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of The Sunset Terrace Bar, ensuring seamless service, guest satisfaction, and compliance with Aman brand standards.
• Oversee beverage preparation, presentation, and service while maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Develop innovative cocktail menus, seasonal beverages, and curated wine and spirits selections.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate bar team members to strengthen product knowledge, service skills, and teamwork.
• Personalize guest experiences, anticipate preferences, recommend beverages, and resolve feedback promptly and professionally.
• Manage beverage inventory, stock control, and purchasing to maintain availability and cost efficiency.
• Prepare budgets, sales forecasts, and profit and loss analyses; monitor performance and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager in a luxury hotel, with strong knowledge of mixology, wines, and premium spirits.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate a team.
• Ability to manage budgets, beverage inventory, and cost control effectively.
• Passion for delivering exceptional, personalized guest service with strong attention to detail.
• Fluency in English and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays; additional languages are an advantage.
