About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. You’ll focus on accounts receivable, invoice processing, payment follow-ups and keeping our financial records accurate. You’ll also handle general administrative work, so no two days look exactly alike.
What You’ll Do
Process incoming payments and day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts receivable, in line with company policies
Prepare bills and bank deposits
Upload invoices to customer systems and portals (e.g., Ariba, Coupa), and send invoices and statements to customers
Follow up outstanding invoices and contact clients about overdue payments
Reconcile AR records and make sure payments are allocated correctly
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer queries
Keep electronic records and filing systems accurate and organised
Liaise with clients, suppliers and third-party providers by phone and email
Support general admin (data entry, answering calls) and provide reception cover when needed, particularly in busy periods
What You’ll Bring
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and a proactive approach
Confidence communicating with clients and suppliers by phone and email
Nice to Have
Experience with SAP (a plus, not essential)
Hands-on experience with customer invoicing portals such as Ariba or Coupa
