Overview
Position Purpose
The Senior Project Scheduler is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading the development, maintenance, analysis, and integrity of Project Schedules throughout all phases of assigned projects. Working under the direction of the Project Controls Director, the role independently leads scheduling execution on large, complex, high-risk, or strategically important projects and may lead scheduling across multiple related projects. The Senior Project Scheduler also supports proposal and bid schedule development as required.
The Senior Project Scheduler develops project schedules from Level 1 milestone schedules through Level 4 detailed working schedules based on project execution strategy and the integration of information from internal stakeholders, subcontractors, clients, and other project participants. The position owns the scheduling process, identifies emerging issues, evaluates schedule performance, develops recommendations, and leads mitigation, corrective, recovery, acceleration, and claims-support activities.
The Senior Project Scheduler is considered a senior technical expert in planning and scheduling and must understand and communicate the relationships among estimating, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, progress measurement, cost control, forecasting, risk management, change management, energy performance, and reporting. The role provides technical leadership and mentoring, challenges assumptions, and influences project outcomes while consistently applying enterprise Project Controls standards and methodologies.
