Job Location:
"Kasrawy for the Automobile Industry" Industrial Zone October, Giza, Egypt
Job Objective:
To oversee the cost accounting function for automotive assembly operations. This includes maintaining accurate standard costs, analyzing manufacturing variances, managing inventory valuation for CKD/SKD kits, and providing management with detailed reports on production profitability and cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Development: Establish and maintain standard costs for all vehicle models, including direct materials (kits), direct labor, and manufacturing overheads.
- Landed Cost Analysis: Calculate the total landed cost of imported kits (CKD/SKD/KD), incorporating freight, insurance, customs duties, and local logistics.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly analysis of Price Variances and Efficiency Variances (Material usage, Labor hours). Investigate root causes for deviations from the budget.
- Inventory Control: Lead periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile book-to-physical balances for raw materials, Work-in-Process (WIP), and finished goods.
- BOM Auditing: Collaborate with the Engineering/MRP teams to ensure the Bill of Materials (BOM) reflects actual production consumption and costs.
- Overhead Allocation: Develop and refine methods for allocating indirect manufacturing costs to specific production lines or models.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare Gross Margin reports by model/brand and support the month-end closing process.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certification (CMA - Certified Management Accountant) is highly preferred.
Experience: 5–8 years of experience in Cost Accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is a major plus).
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP systems.
- High-level Excel skills (Macros, Power Query, and financial modeling).
- Strong understanding of Egyptian Tax and Customs laws regarding industrial assembly.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical mindset, high integrity, and the ability to explain financial data to non-financial production managers.
